For the purpose of clarity, maiden names are noted in parenthesis, previous married names in brackets and nicknames or aka’s in quotes.  Middle names are included with children or if an adult was known by their first and middle name (e.g.- Mary Ann) or if the middle name is needed for clarity’s sake.

An example of this is Eva Cooper, who married George VanMeter in 1892. They had two sons – Tom VanMeter and Henry VanMeter before her husband died in 1898. She later married Alex Streeter and they had a son named Earl Streeter. 

Eva is referenced as Eva (Cooper) [VanMeter] Streeter . Henry VanMeter, because he went by “Harry” is referenced as Henry “Harry” VanMeter.
